Mahindra Alturas G4 gets a new affordable 2WD High variant: Priced at Rs 30.68 lakh

Mahindra has silently added a new more affordable variant to the Alturas G4 line-up. The new 2WD High trim has been launched at Rs 30.68 lakh, and sits below the 4WD model, which is currently priced at Rs 31.88 lakh (both prices, ex-showroom). This makes the Alturas G4 one of the most affordable full-size SUVs in the Indian market.
The 2WD High variant misses out on no equipment or anything of that sort. It makes use of the same 2.2-litre diesel engine that puts out 181 PS of maximum power and 420 Nm of peak torque. The engine is mated to a Mercedes-Benz sourced 7-speed automatic transmission as standard. The Alturas G4 continues to rival the likes of Toyota Fortuner, MG Gloster, Isuzu MU-X, as well as the Jeep Meridian in the Indian market.
The features on offer with the Mahindra Alturas G4 include an 8-way electrically adjustable driver seat with 3 memory profiles, ambient lighting, front ventilated seats, dual tone nappa leather interior, 3rd row AC vents with blower controls, an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, and so on.
On the safety front, the Alturas G4 is equipped with a 360-degree camera, Hill Start Assist, Electronic Stability Program, Anti-Rollover Protection, Brake Assist System, an electronic parking brake with auto-hold, Hill Descent Control with on/off switch, Active Rollover Protection, 9 airbags, etc.
