Made-in-India Suzuki Ertiga revealed at 2022 Philippine International Motor Show with powered tailgate, body kit

Suzuki went on to showcase the new Ertiga MPV at the 2022 Philippine International Motor Show, held at the World Trade Center in Pasay City between September 15 – September 18, 2022. While it is based on the updated Maruti Suzuki Ertiga that was launched in India, it features some noteworthy changes over the model sold here.
First and foremost, the Philippine-spec Ertiga gets a left-hand drive setup, as opposed to the right-hand drive setup seen on the Indian model. Other changes on the former include brand-new diamond-cut alloy wheels, as well as an optional body kit that adds front, rear and side skirts, making the car look sportier.
Other additional features on offer with the Suzuki Ertiga unveiled in Philippines include a 360-degree camera, a larger 9-inch touchscreen infotainment system, as well as a powered tailgate; all of which are not available with the India-spec version.
Powering the Ertiga is Suzuki’s K15B 1.5-litre NA petrol engine that is offered with a 5-speed manual transmission as well as a 4-speed torque converter AT. However, the India-spec Ertiga now gets the newer K15C 1.5-litre NA petrol unit that makes 103 PS and 137 Nm, and can be had with either a 5-speed MT or an optional 6-speed AT with paddle shifters.
Maruti Suzuki currently retails the Ertiga in India at a starting price of Rs 8.41 lakh, that goes all the way up to Rs 12.79 lakh (both prices, ex-showroom) for the top-end trim. The MPV rivals the likes of the Kia Carens, as well as its own six-seat sibling – the XL6.
