VMotive an automotive spares brand of Vogo has be acquired by Fixcraft, a car repair and service startup along with the brand’s trademark. The team of V-Motive will join with Fixcraft as part of the deal. Fixcraft aims to expand its presence in the domestic aftersales automotive market with this acquisition. Currently, Fixcraft, which was formed in 2018, operates in Delhi NCR and Bengaluru and plans to expand to 10 metro cities in 12 months. The company vision is to be a complete player in the Indian car repair and service industry that offers end-to-end solution. By acquiring V-Motive Fixcraft would be able to offer high-quality and genuine spares to the dealers and workshops and will ensure easy availability as per the designed specification.
Fixcraft Founder & CEO Vivek Sharma said “VMotive in Fixcraft’s portfolio of offerings makes our play in the post-sales car repair and service segment deeper across the entire value chain. We continue to work towards raising the standards of post sales car repair and service by working for all stakeholders in the industry.”
Fixcraft had raised a total of $2.5 million (nearly Rs. 20 crore) till date with micro-VCs and marquee angel investors including Good Capital, Bharat Founders’ fund, Maninder Gulati (Oyo), Rishab Malik (Droom, Jungle Ventures), Ashish Goel (Urban Ladder) and more since it started operations in 2018.
Fixcraft says that India is the third-largest auto market in the world, estimate at $ 24 billion (around Rs. 1,87,885 crore) however, majority of the repair and service part post-sales are controlled by authorised service centres in the organized sector. Here Fixcraft aims to fill this gap between unorganized and organized sector as the neighbourhood garages play a huge role in the market, Fixcraft also ensures trust for the vehicle owners and promises service quality.
