Check petrol and diesel price in Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata, Chennai, Hyderabad, Bengaluru on September 20

Petrol and diesel prices remain unchanged again on Tuesday, September 20 according to the latest price notification issued by the Oil Marketing Companies. Fuel prices have held steady since Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman announced an excise duty cut on petrol and diesel by Rs 8 per litre and Rs 6 per litre, respectively on May 21. Later, the Maharashtra government had announced a Value-Added-Tax (VAT) cut on petrol by Rs 5 per litre and on diesel by Rs 5 5 per litre.
In Delhi, petrol and diesel are priced at Rs 96.72 per litre and Rs 89.62 per litre, respectively. Petrol price in Mumbai stands at Rs 106.31 per litre, while diesel costs Rs 94.27 per litre. Customers have to spend Rs 102.63 per litre for petrol and Rs 94.24 per litre for diesel in Chennai. Petrol price in Kolkata is Rs 106.03 per litre and diesel price stands at Rs 92.76 per litre.

Fuel retailers, such as Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Ltd (HPCL), Bharat Petroleum Corporation Ltd (BPCL) and Indian Oil Corporation Ltd (IOCL) set the petrol and diesel prices daily in accordance with foreign exchange rates and international benchmark prices.
Crude oil price
Yesterday, crude oil price fell by over 2% due to weak global supply worries and increasing interest rates. For November delivery, Brent Crude was down by 2.1% to trade at $89.45 a barrel. For October, U.S. West Texas Intermediate (WTI) dropped 3%, to $82.54 per barrel.
